Chronologically, it covers texts from the mid XIX – early XXI centuries, recorded throughout the entire territory of the Komi people (Komi Republic, Nenets, Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Areas, Murmansk Region). The source material is based on archival and published materials, as well as field expedition data and records from the author’s personal archive. Komi folk games with rules and folklore texts related to this verbal-game complex – children’s game songs, game sayings, game refrains, draw talks, signal words, teasings, game dialogues, excluding counting rhymes – are predominantly presented. In this compilation, at the initial stage, the games are systematised by age criterion; further supplemented by other principles – structural and local. The study begins with a set of children’s games-improvisations, while the second set includes games by the rules. The games, thus, are distributed among 109 types divided into 12 groups. The local variability and diversity of game terminology emphasise the richness of the Komi game culture. _$a _$a10.19110/978-5-89606-651-4 533 ## _$aThere is an electronic copy 856 4# _$akomisc.editorum.ru _$u
