Chronologically, it covers texts from the mid XIX \u00e2\u0080\u0093 early XXI centuries, recorded throughout the entire territory of the Komi people (Komi Republic, Nenets, Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Areas, Murmansk Region). The source material is based on archival and published materials, as well as field expedition data and records from the author\u00e2\u0080\u0099s personal archive. Komi folk games with rules and folklore texts related to this verbal-game complex \u00e2\u0080\u0093 children\u00e2\u0080\u0099s game songs, game sayings, game refrains, draw talks, signal words, teasings, game dialogues, excluding counting rhymes \u00e2\u0080\u0093 are predominantly presented.\r\nIn this compilation, at the initial stage, the games are systematised by age criterion; further supplemented by other principles \u00e2\u0080\u0093 structural and local.
